Tuesday Tunes "When Darkness Falls"

This is another song written by my brother long ago. We still haven't gotten our camera fixed (and I don't know when we ever will), but we've decided since these are just practice sessions, the camera quality isn't that crucial.

Please excuse our cameramen, who were absent for the end of the video. When you've got a toddler strapped to your chest, it's difficult to get places quickly... :)

Sometimes I can't speak, sometimes the sun hides
And I can't move my feet for fear I might try
To wash away my sins that cover like a cloak
Sometimes I feel crazy because I'm losing all control

When darkness falls we'll be alright
When clouds roll in all through the night
The storms will melt away in the morning light
And I'll be with you my whole life

Sometimes I cry because it just won't quit
This puzzle in my head, this head that's so lit
Sometimes I feel light like I'm floating away
Sometimes I feel grounded like I'm stuck in my grave

Sometimes you weep because it's just too much
You took one drink but they gave you this cup
Sometimes you roll, sometimes you sink
Sometimes you hold your ground, sometimes you sing

Sometimes we fight, sometimes we dream
Sometimes you're right, sometimes we scream

  1. Your songs often touch me in a way. This one, too.....is very appropriate for me today. For my entire family. Thanks for giving me a warm-fuzzy that was much needed.

  4. Delightful.

No jibberish during the lull at the end??

  5. Unusual tune. The chorus is strong and seems to have a little more melodic touch. Good lyrics. Sort of an old "coffee house" feel. RECORD IT.
